Baseball: Off and Running, Verona Press, 4/02/2009

Varsity Head Coach

8th year coaching VAHS baseball.  Coached Middleton summer & fall Legion baseball from 2000-03.  Brad was a 3-year Collegiate Varsity Baseball Letter Winner at Edgewood College and 2-time Lake Michigan Conference Scholar Athlete (2000-01).  Coach D'Orazio holds a BA in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Edgewood College.

Varsity Assistant Coach

3rd year.  Coach Crandell attended Eau Claire Memorial High School and was a member of the 1999 State Appearance Baseball Team and the Eau Claire Senior Legion program, where he earned most improved player in 2000.  He is also a coach for Verona varsity football, and is involved with the Strength & Conditioning Program.  He is a certified umpire, married to wife Heather, and resides in Verona.  He graduated from UW-Madison with a BS in Kinesiology, Certification in Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education and works at Savanna Oaks Middle School in the Special Education department.

Varsity Assistant Coach

2nd year.  Coach Joe Giesfeldt is currently a student at Edgewood College studying Special Education with a minor in Mathematics.  He was a 2-year letter winner for the Wildcat Baseball Program and was a captain of the 2007 team.  During the Wildcats playoff run in 2007, he was named Capital TImes "Prep Huddle Player of the Week."  Coach Geisfeldt's life has revolved around baseball, and he is employed as Head Maintenance for the Verona Little LEague Complex.

Varsity Assistant Coach

5th year.  Coach Fuhrman was a member of the 2002 Middleton State Qualifier team and an instrumental member of the 2003 Middletong State Championship team.  He threw a two-hit shutout in the State Quarterfinal game.  Received 1st team all-conference his Senior year.  Coach Fuhrman also played one year of collegiate baseball at Lakeland College in Sheboygan.
